About Me
Hello,
I am Ky Han Ly. I am majoring in Digital Media Art at San Jose State University. My artistic journey revolves around graphic design and motion graphics, with a deep fascination for illustration, motion graphic, and 3D modeling.

To summarize the story of why I decided to be an artist, I can say that art has been inside my blood since I was born. I am sure every kid would love to redraw their favorite characters after watching a cartoon, and I am a part of them. I was born in Vietnam, and I had yet to interact with the internet until I was nine years old, which led me to brainstorm to draw based on my memory. Besides that, I am a dreamer person, so this brings me many ideas to draw or create a random toy by any materials that I found such as papers, plastic bags, wood sticks. When I grew up, I started to understand my strong point is creativity, which led me to be an artist in the future. And my first laptop brought me so much knowledge about digital art by using technology. This is the beginning of everything and I started to self-taught about digital painting.

I moved to the United States when I was 16; I faced many challenges, especially culture shock, and communicated in English. However, I slowly caught up with the flow when I went to school and made new friends. The education here gave me a new passion for becoming a 3D artist. I was also impressed by how powerful 3D is because I can freely bring my ideas to a higher level—the endless possibilities in 3D art excite me to keep learning and getting better at it. I love to share my unique ideas and creativity through visual storytelling over time.

Overall, I find joy in expressing my art through both traditional and digital mediums. My artwork becomes a canvas for sharing my thoughts and emotions, aiming to convey meaningful messages to the audience. My art journey is endless and I love to share the stories of how I discovered the mystery of art.
